Manifesto

Creating An Abundant World

I believe that society has lost its drive, when the most worthy of human goals is staring us in the face: creating a world of abundance. Where all people are healthy, reap the benefits of a technology-powered world and can live the life that has the most meaning for them. Where they have an abundance of choice, of opportunity, of time, of information and access.

For the first time in human history, this is now possible.

I believe that this goal is worthy, but geez, it’s hard. So the greatest contribution we can each make is towards a society with Universal Basic Income and Services, powered by renewable energy, and built with closed-cycle manufacturing. So while today’s smart minds invest in, well, "getting people to click on ads”, the great minds of this generation are curing ageing, are thinking in ten thousand year time frames, and are extending their circle of care beyond their nation, remembering that we are all born on the same rock.

But ideas without action are not enough. Think tanks, non-profits, and slow moving governments aren’t enough. The most powerful force for taking ideas to action is business, and the best combination of worthy ideas and meaningful action is found in social enterprise. These businesses don’t aspire to be good — they bake goodness into their very structure and business model.

I believe that social enterprises deserve to succeed, but they are born in a shark tank of commerce. The best businesses need powerful, meaningful stories. They need commercial nous and entrepreneurial savvy.

I’m here to help those businesses win.
